MercyHeart Agape Feast
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,” Matthew 25:31-46
It is no secret that poverty in India is a national epidemic. It is estimated that 222 million of India’s rural population live below the poverty level. One obvious effect of such poverty is that people lack resources for food. Experts believe that one fourth of all Indian households have an inadequate caloric intake to sustain good health. This undernourishment can have devastating consequences, including high incidents of child mortality.
One of the ways CFI helps combat hunger is through our Agape Feast program. To have a Kingdom impact and to provide a stewardship opportunity, CFI is partnering with Dallas Christian Fellowship, Inc. This is a consistent program now functioning in all seven of our regional centers and through our schools, leprosy villages and rehabilitation efforts via Span of Care ministry. Additionally, many of our churches serve packed lunches to the elderly and poor after Sunday Services.
