Christian English Medium Academy

“All Scripture is God–breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” 2 Tim 3:16

Sadhu Sundar Singh Mission Academy was established for destitute children of the community, and serves primarily children of prisoners, lepers and the poor. This is a crucial ministry in the lives of these precious children, who are often excluded from other education settings due to the stigma of leprosy and the expense of most English schools. These academies are truly the only opportunity some of these children have to obtain an education.

Presently, we are working with children ages 4 to 13, as well as offering a tutoring program for High school and college level students. Most of our students do not have a father or mother or anyone to take care of them, so the stability and relationships they have at school are as important as their studies.

The school is distinctly Christian, functioning with Biblical principles. Students sing, worship, study the Bible, and pray. Each day, teachers lead the children in The Lord's Prayer in English and in their native regional language. On Sundays, children and teachers all attend church services, regardless of their religious backgrounds. It is exciting that they enjoy the services and want to come. Besides academics and their Christian studies, our children also have the opportunity to get involved in extra curricular activities.

Our school facilities vary with each location. In some locations we have separate centers, and in others, the school operates in our place of fellowship or in a village shack. Eventually we would love to build permanent facilities for our students so they can live and learn in a Christian atmosphere.

The school is named after Sadhu Sundar Singh, a missionary to the people of India and to South Asia. For more information about this amazing man, please visit their website.

Please give generously to the Mission Academy to help us provide facilities, books, food, clothing, and medical care to the precious unseen victims of society.
